DangoLoop Data Deletion Guide
Effective Date: October 22, 2026
DangoLoop is used without sign-up or login. There is no account to delete; this page explains where your data lives and how to remove it.
1. A service without accounts
The originals of your study records (known/unknown, next review date, favorites, session records), exam date, settings, and Paid Product status are stored only on your device. The Company operates no server that receives these originals. Some aggregate/category values, identifiers, and connection information are sent to external companies or Company servers for usage statistics, advertising, error diagnostics, paid audio, purchase verification, and in-app notice checks; see Section 1 of the Privacy Policy.
2. Deleting data on your device
- Everything: delete the app and the study records, exam date, settings, purchase status records, the paid-audio entitlement token and installation identifier, the downloaded audio cache, and the in-app notice display state are removed from the device. There is currently no in-app feature to erase only study records.
- Copies included in the operating system’s device backup (Android Auto Backup, iCloud Backup) must be managed or deleted in device settings. The Company cannot access those backups.
- Text you shared from the statistics screen must be deleted on the receiving app or by the recipient.
3. Information the Company holds and deletion requests
The only information the Company receives directly is inquiries you send by email (the content, the sender’s email address, and any receipt number you provided in a refund inquiry). The app has no inquiry-sending feature. Your email is received by Mailgun (United States) and relayed to the Company mailbox system (server in Seoul, Republic of Korea), where it is stored. Reply emails from the Company are also sent through Mailgun (Privacy Policy Sections 5 and 6).
To request deletion, contact us at the address below. Information that no longer needs to be retained is deleted without delay. General inquiries are kept for 1 year after handling, records on handling consumer complaints or disputes for 3 years under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. of Korea, and transaction records subject to the Company’s statutory retention obligation for 5 years, stored separately and then destroyed (Privacy Policy, Section 3.D). Our reply will tell you which items are retained and for how long.
4. Information processed by external companies
- Usage statistics (Google Firebase Analytics) — turning off Send usage statistics in the app settings asks the analytics tool to disable collection, and the setting persists across launches. Statistics already sent contain neither the words themselves nor your exam date, and user- and event-level data is automatically deleted after 2 months. To request deletion of a specific installation’s records, include information you can provide such as device model, OS version, app version, and approximate time of use (the app instance ID is not shown in the app, so it is not required) — identifiable records are deleted; if they cannot be identified, we explain why and when they are automatically deleted.
- Advertising identifier and advertising data (Google AdMob) — on Android you can reset the Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in device settings. On iOS the app does not request App Tracking Transparency consent and does not collect the IDFA. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland you can withdraw consent in Settings → Ad privacy options. If you launch the app while holding a Paid Product, the advertising SDK is not started. Exercising rights over advertising data held by Google follows the procedures in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Error diagnostic information (Sentry, outsourced processing) — collected only when an error occurs; errors reported from app code are sanitized before sending for SQL, database arguments, and specific date and purchase-verification patterns. Native crashes may include an installation identifier and device/app diagnostic information. It is automatically deleted 30 days after collection; records identifiable by error time, device model, etc. are deleted earlier from the console on request.
- Paid audio and purchase-verification server (Cloudflare, processor) — only devices holding a Paid Product contact it, and the server stores no request contents (installation identifier, purchase token, entitlement token, connecting IP, requested word), so there are no records to delete. Purchase-verification processing-result records carry no identifier that distinguishes a user and are automatically deleted after 7 days, so they are not subject to individual deletion requests. The audio cache and entitlement token downloaded to the device are deleted together with the app.
- Access log of in-app notice checks (Company website server — hosted by The Constant Company, LLC (Vultr), Seoul) — the ordinary web-server access log left when the app opens or resumes (connecting IP, app version, operating-system type, time); no installation identifier or token. If you tell us the time of access and IP address, the matching entries are deleted; otherwise they are automatically deleted after 90 days. Dismissed-notice records exist only on the device and are removed when you delete the app.
- Email inquiry relay (Mailgun Technologies, Inc., outsourced processing · United States) — The message body is not stored with Mailgun but only in the Company's mailbox (server in Seoul, Republic of Korea). Processing records (sender and recipient addresses, subject, time, and processing result) may remain with Mailgun for up to 30 days under Mailgun's retention policy. Inquiries and replies in the Company mailbox are deleted through the procedure in Section 3.
5. Paid Product purchase records
Purchase records for the lifetime license and monthly subscription belong to the Apple App Store or Google Play account that processed the payment. After reinstalling, you can reapply them via Settings → Premium → Restore purchases. The monthly subscription is not cancelled by deleting the app; to stop it, cancel it in the App Store’s subscription management. Deletion of purchase records kept by the App Stores follows each App Store’s policies.
