D-Day Keep Account and Data Deletion
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This page explains how to delete your D-Day Keep account and data. The detailed criteria for what is deleted and what is retained are the same as Section 3 of the Privacy Policy.
1. Delete directly in the app (recommended)
- Open the app → Settings (gear icon) at the top right
- In the Account section, select the "Signed in with …" row — it reads "Signed in with Kakao", "Signed in with Google", or "Signed in with Apple" depending on how you signed in
- On the Account screen, select Delete Account under Danger Zone at the bottom
- In the confirmation dialog, select Delete Permanently
It is processed immediately, with no waiting period. If you are not signed in, the Account section shows only a Sign Up row; there is no server account, so there is nothing to delete.
2. Request by email
If you have already deleted the app or cannot sign in, please email dkeep@reply.codesand.co.kr with the email address you signed up with and your sign-up method (Kakao/Google/Apple). We will process the request and reply within 7 business days. Email is received by Mailgun (United States) and forwarded to the Company's mailbox system (server in Seoul, Republic of Korea), and reply emails from the Company are also sent through Mailgun (Privacy Policy Sections 5 and 6).
3. Data deleted immediately when you delete your account
- All D-Days you registered (title, date (including calendar type and whether it falls in a leap month), time, icon, color, note)
- Photos uploaded as backgrounds (those uploaded with the current account)
- The D-Day list and background photo files stored inside the device
- Notification and widget settings, session and authentication tokens
- Share links — they are expired and can no longer be opened
- Kakao and Google account linkage — released automatically
4. Data not deleted by account deletion alone, and how it is handled
- The account record (sign-up history) and usage-environment statistics (OS, app version, and the like) — not deleted by account deletion alone. If you make a request to the contact below, they will be destroyed without delay.
- Photos uploaded while you were using the app as a Guest — photos uploaded before signing in may remain in a separate storage area. They will be destroyed upon request in the same way.
- Apple account linkage — please release it yourself in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
5. Data retained under laws and policies
| Item | Retention period | Basis |
|---|
| Records of consumer complaints or dispute handling (including inquiries and bug reports) | 3 years | Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc. of Korea |
| Error diagnostics (including approximate location inferred from the connecting IP; the email and the IP address itself are not stored) | 30 days after collection | Securing service stability |
| Mailgun (United States) processing records for email inquiries — sender and recipient addresses, subject, time, and processing result (the message body is not stored with Mailgun, only in the Company's mailbox) | Up to 30 days under Mailgun's retention policy | Privacy Policy Section 3(c) |
| Payment and refund records | Per Apple App Store and Google Play policies | The app stores are the sellers |
6. After deletion
- Deleted data cannot be recovered. Signing up again with the same account does not bring back your previous data.
- Purchased Paid Products (Remove Ads) belong to your app store account, so you can get them back with Restore purchases after reinstalling with the same app store account.
- Data on a device used without signing up disappears when you delete the app.
