Sitting down at a PC just to open a single Hangul (HWP) file received by messenger or email is a common experience. On May 29, 2026, CodeSand Co., Ltd. launched 'Hanjjok', a Hangul document viewer that finishes this on your phone, on the App Store. The app opens HWP and HWPX files right on the device without Hancom Office or sign-up, converts them to PDF and even prints them.
Share it, and it opens
When you share a file to Hanjjok from a messenger, email or file app, it is rendered instantly on the device, with no waiting for conversion and no login. Tables, ruled lines and text boxes common in public-sector documents are drawn in their original layout, so the screen looks different from approaches that just extract and list the text. Landscape pages are shown in landscape and portrait pages in portrait, and you can also choose the pages you want to see.
PDF conversion and printing
One tap creates a PDF and opens the system share sheet. You can send it by messenger, email or drive, save it as a file, or print it right there. Printing uses iOS AirPrint and Android's built-in printing as they are, and landscape pages are sent in landscape orientation automatically. There is also a feature to extract just the text from a document to copy or share it in full, so you do not need to hand over the whole document when you only need to move part of the content.
Documents never leave the device
Hanjjok has no account and no cloud. Opening documents, converting them to PDF and printing are all handled on the device, and there is no server that stores documents at all. It does not ask for an email address or password, and deleting the app deletes the copies as well. The only exception is attachments that users choose themselves in the Contact us screen; only those files are sent so the inquiry can be reviewed, and the app shows the same notice.
Hanjjok is free to download and contains ads. Users who want to remove the ads can do so with a one-time purchase.
